BGCS 2019 will take place at Churchill College, Cambridge.
With the largest college campus in Cambridge, the Churchill site is located a short walk from the city centre. The venue has a wide variety of accommodation, excellent dining and conferencing facilities and is set amongst picturesque parkland.
Founded by Royal Charter in 1960, Churchill College is the national and Commonwealth memorial to Sir Winston Churchill, Britain’s great wartime Prime Minister — the embodiment of his vision for how higher education can benefit society in the modern age.
Rich in exquisite architecture, exuding history and tradition, and renowned for its quirky rituals, Cambridge is a university town extraordinaire. The tightly packed core of ancient colleges, the picturesque riverside ‘Backs’ (college gardens) and the leafy green meadows surrounding the city give it a very tranquil appeal.
