How to get to Cambridge
Arriving by air
London Stansted is located just 30 miles to the south of the city, with easy access by train, coach, or car (M11). Cambridge is also within easy reach of London Heathrow, London Gatwick & Birmingham International Airport.
Arriving by train
Cambridge railway station has a frequent service from London King’s Cross and Liverpool Street stations, the Midlands and the North and a direct link from Stansted Airport, as well as plentiful local services. Cambridge railway station is situated 2 miles from Churchill College. The U bus travels directly from the station to Madingley Road, near the College. For bus services from Cambridge railway station into the city centre look for the Citi 1, Citi 3 or Citi 7 services.
From the south and from London, Cambridge is a short trip up the M11 motorway. From the north, the A1 and M1 link to the A14 dual carriageway straight to the city and from the east and west, the A14 again takes you to Cambridge.
There is ample free parking at the College either along Churchill Road (the College’s private road) or in the main car park at the end of that road. Permits are not required.
In addition, there are five park & ride sites located on the outskirts of the city that provide free parking and a swift and frequent bus ride to the city centre.
